Every published image should have a known provenance and a use basis appropriate for NewsMaze.
Real event photography
For documentary news, NewsMaze prefers public-domain, appropriately licensed, commissioned or otherwise authorized photography.
Attribution
When an image license or source requires credit, the credit should appear directly with the image. Credits are based on the individual asset's terms, not assumptions about the hosting website.
Original visuals
NewsMaze may create original charts, maps, diagrams and editorial illustrations to reduce dependence on third-party photography and improve explanation.
